Consequently, the Commissioner of Railway Safety has instructed RPF inspectors to intensify checks on general compartments of trains passing through the Lucknow Division. The Director General of Railway Protection Force has directed RPF personnel to conduct frequent checks and take action to prevent smuggling of illegal items, including gold, silver, alcohol, and cash, in light of the upcoming elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. On September 5, six individuals were apprehended in the general compartment of the Bikaner Express with prohibited items.
