Private laborers removed stones near the tracks before the TRT machine was brought in to replace the old sleepers with new ones. ADEN Shubham Patel from Gomoh and AOM Abhishek Tiwari from Dhanbad supervised the operation. ADEN Patel explained that the railway periodically replaces sleepers as part of routine maintenance.

the Giridih-Koderma (102.5 km), Koderma-Ranchi (189 km), Koderma-Tilaiya (86 km), Parsnath-Madhuban-Giridih (49 km), and Dhanbad-Chandrapura-Tund-Nichitpur (25.81 km) new lines. The budget also allocated funds for doubling the Garhwa Road-Ramna, Dania-Ranchi Road (partial), Ranchi Road-Patratu (31 km), Dhanbad-Sonnagar (291 km) lines, and for constructing a third line between Dhanbad and Sonnagar. Further, funds were allocated for constructing a flyover for down trains in Gomoh, a rail-over-rail bridge between Garhwa Road and Ramna, and a bridge over level crossings in Tetulmari, Gomoh, and Khanudih. A bridge over level crossing 20 at Keswari, replacing the existing gate, is also part of the project. Additionally, funds were allocated for the construction of a bridge over level crossing number 1 between Katrasgarh and Nichitpur, and for the doubling of the Chandrapura-Jamuniatand line, along with multi-tracking between Sonnagar and Andal, and construction of a three-kilometer marshalling yard at Sindri.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for this alternative DC line on Friday. The DRM, Kamal Kishore Sinha, stated that this new line will significantly enhance Dhanbad's development, adding that trains will continue to operate on the existing line via Katras, while the new line will not interfere with its operations. The capacity of the Sindri Marshalling Yard will be increased to meet future needs, and the doubling of the Pradhankhunta-Pathardih Bazaar-Bhojudih rail line will facilitate smoother train traffic. The new line will run parallel to the Grand Chord from Dhanbad to Matari via Bhuli, Tetulmari, and Nichitpur. It will then connect to the Chandrapura railway line via Telo. For the return journey, the line will pass through Telo and over a rail overbridge to connect to the existing down line from Gomoh-Dhanbad. This new line is expected to increase train capacity between Dhanbad and Ranchi by more than double.
