Vande Bharat trains will reduce journey times by over two hours and 90 minutes, respectively. These trains, designed and manufactured in India, offer a modern and comfortable travel experience with a top speed of 160 KMPH, anti-collision device KAVACH, and fully-sealed gangways. Indian Railways has introduced 772 additional train services, including 100 Vande Bharat trains, from 2019-2020 to 2023-2024, with a total investment of Rs 1,343.72 crore in Vande Bharat train production.

Return journey Nagercoil se 2:20 pm pe chalta hai aur Chennai Egmore 11 pm pe pahunchta hai. Train Tambaram, Villupuram, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Kovilpatti aur Tirunelveli mein rukti hai. Local logon ka kehna hai ki Virudhunagar aas-paas ke ilakon ka ek important junction hai, aur ab passengers ko train pakadne ke liye Madurai jaana padega, jisse pura district affect hoga. Unhone zonal railway se request ki hai ki woh schedule reconsider karein.
