To access Mumbai metro's Andheri station, cross the FOB, and go away from Pf 1 side, till you reach an entrance which has "passenger booking office" written above it. Going through that door leads you to a skywalk that goes to Andheri metro station.

For Andheri/Vile Parle a passengers going to Thane, without changeover, direct buses are available. BEST AS-422 (to Teen haat naka/ cadbury junction) , TMT AC-125 (to teen haat naka/ cadbury junction/ kasarvadavli) , BEST 496 (Teen haat naka). Anyone who wants to reach Thane station, can alight at Teen haat naka and take TMT Bus 111 or autorickshaw (hardly 1-1.5 kms, miimum fare).
Those who want to travel faster with changeover, take metro to ghatkopar and then a local train (fast/slow) to Thane. Thane terminating Slow trains preferred due to less rush.
