arindamdas~ 1017 blog postsTrain from Bankura to Delhi: After introduction of 12815/12816 puri-anvt express (earstwhile 915/916) in 1984 no new mass connectivity have been introduced to National capital except BBS rajdhani, though passengers to Delhi from Bankura districts have been increased multifold. Quota of Nandan Kanan express have been got evaporated just in a weeks after ARP. But no train passing kgp towards are run through mdn-Adra route, all the trains whether being it Src-anvt or Hlz-anvt trains are being devoid to run through this route. So I feel an weekly service from Kgp to Anvt via adra Ddu can address this situation if not so, any of Src-Anvt or Hlz-anvt can be diverted via Bankura-adra. Though 2nd option will draw ire from Tata passengers so I stress on 1st option i.e., new train.
A third Rajdhani is now required from Kolkata, via the SER route, though I would still keep the terminal as HWH...
Will a premium train pull enough of travellers from Kharagpur Adra and Gaya to Delhi? It will have travellers only during weekend and should be from ANVT on Friday and return on Sunday to reach on Monday morning. The utility of the rake will be low and have to rest for 4 days.

टूंडला। रेलवे बोर्ड ने टूंडला जंक्शन को दो नई ट्रेनों की सौगात दी है। अब कानपुर शताब्दी व पुरी जाने वाली नंदन-कानन एक्सप्रेस टूंडला जंक्शन पर रुकेगी। इन दो महत्वपूर्ण ट्रेनों के टूंडला में ठहराव होने से विविध धर्मस्थल व पर्यटन स्थलों को जाने के लिए टूंडला ही नहीं देशी-विदेशी पर्यटकों का लाभ मिलेगा। रेलवे प्रयागराज मंडल का टूंडला जंक्शन प्रमुख रेलवे स्टेशन है।

LHB Nandankanan Express arriving Bishnupur Jn.
ECoR's very useful train is 12815/16 Puri - Anand Vihar Nandankanan Express .This train running with 2 LHB Rakes out of 4.RSA with 12875/76 Neelachal Express.HWH WAP-4 22585 arriving VSU in lead of Nandu.

Ye to galat baat hai lekin. Khair jo bhi ho ab ECoR jo chahe. But agar time pe chale to Nandankanan Purushottam se better train hogi imo.
Reason for not getting new rake for nandu & neelu possibly New LHB rake came with HOG facility. Rake with HOG are applied only to the trains which runs with electrical traction end to end. Purushottam & Nandalkanan qualify to this aspect but Neelachal exp does not run entirely with electric traction (btwn MGS & Anvt it is being hauled by TKD wdp4d).
