रेलवे ने इंदौर व जबलपुर से देहरादून तक व्हाया दिल्ली होते हुए नंदादेवी ट्रेन चलाने की तैयारी पूरी कर ली है। रेलवे बोर्ड ने रूट के साथ ही ट्रेन का समय भी तय कर लिया है। सूत्रों की मानें तो लोकसभा चुनाव की आचार संहिता लगने से पहले इस ट्रेन को चलाने की घोषणा हो सकती है।

ताई की इच्छा है कि इंदौर से देहरादून प्रतिदिन ट्रैन चले, वर्तमान में इंदौर- देहरादून 2 दिन चलती है उज्जैन- देहरादून इंदौर तक बढ़ने के बाद 4 दिन ट्रेन जो जाएगी वहीँ ताई नंदा देवी को वाया कोटा 3 दिन इंदौर तक बढ़वाना चाहती है उम्मीद है नंदा देवी का विस्तार फरवरी में हो जाएगा, इससे इंदौर से देहरादून प्रतिदिन ट्रैन उपलब्ध हो सकेगी।

डीआरएम ने उज्जैन- देहरादून ट्रैन को शीघ्र ही इसे इंदौर से चलाने के लिए कहा है। अधिकारी इंतजार कर रहे हैं कि यदि उज्जैन से डबल ट्रैक का काम पूरा हो जाता है तो और भी गाड़ियों को इंदौर से चलाया जाएगा।
