It will benefit many people. This is the 1st regular train connecting two different corridors, the Rajkharsawan - Barbil Corridor and the Rajkharsawan - Rourkela Corridor. But what about the demand for providing stoppage at Noamundi station? It is the only train having no stoppage at Noamundi station! Also, it is the only Express Train having stoppage at Kendposi! In the beginning, it had no stoppage at Kendposi and Bara Jamda also! At that time, its stoppages were Chakradharpur, Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Barbil!

But what about the demand for providing stoppage at Noamundi station? It is the only train having no stoppage at Noamundi station! Also, it is the only Express Train having stoppage at Kendposi! In the beginning, it had no stoppage at Kendposi and Bara Jamda also! At that time, its stoppages were Chakradharpur, Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Barbil!
Puri - Barbil express has been left as it is, and Barbil - Chakradharpur Express has been extended upto Rourkela. So now from date 09/02/2019, this train will stop at Manoharpur, Chakradharpur, Chaibasa, Kendposi, Dangoaposi and Bara Jamda Stations while running from Rourkela to Barbil and then at Bara Jamda, Noamundi and Dangoaposi stations again while running from Barbil to Puri. Thus this train will stop at Dangoaposi and Bara Jamda twice while running from Rourkela to Puri, because it is running from Rourkela to Barbil as another train and then from Barbil to Puri as another train. EXTENSION OF BARBIL-CHAKRADHARPUR EXPRESS UPTO ROURKELA
South Eastern Railway has decided that 18404 Barbil-Chakradharpur Express will be extended to run upto Rourkela w.e.f 09.02.19. In the opposite direction, 18403 Chakradharpur-Barbil Express will originate from Rourkela w.e.f 10.02.19.
18404 Barbil-Rourkela Express will leave Barbil at 17.15 hrs and will reach Rourkela at 22.00 hrs, the same day. In the opposite direction, 18403 Rourkela-Barbil Express will leave Rourkela at 04.30 hrs and will arrive Barbil at 08.55 hrs, the same day.
