8th. The Amritsar-Katihar Express (15078) departing Amritsar on July 8th will be delayed by one hour from Gomtinagar. The Ernakulam-Barauni Express will be delayed by 50 minutes on July 7th. A new special train (05303) will operate between Gorakhpur and Mahbubnagar via Aishbagh every Saturday from July 6th to July 27th. This train will depart Gorakhpur at 8:30 AM and arrive in Mahbubnagar at 7:15 PM the following day. The return train (05304) will depart Mahbubnagar at 10:10 PM every Sunday from July 7th to July 28th and arrive in Aishbagh at 7:25 AM the following day. Additionally, a special train (05053) will be operated from Gorakhpur to Mumbai, departing Gorakhpur every Friday at 9:30 AM and arriving in Bandra Terminus at 6 PM the following day. This train will stop at Badshahnagar and Aishbagh. The return train (05054) will depart Bandra every Saturday at 9:15 PM and arrive in Gorakhpur at 6:25 AM the following day, with a stop at Badshahnagar.

The affected section saw several train cancellations, diversions, and reschedulings. The 15769 Alipurduar-Mariani Intercity Express on June 19 and the 15770 Mariani-Alipurduar Intercity Express on June 20 have been canceled. The 15077 Kamakhya-Gomti Nagar Express, scheduled to depart on June 18, has been rescheduled to depart at 00:00 on June 19, 2024, instead of the original 20:00. The Commissioner of Railway Safety, Janak Kumar Garg, has initiated a statutory inquiry into the incident under Section 114 of the Railway Act of 1989.
