As the month of Feb is special for me, I wish to share and old journey undertaken way back in 2009. The day was 18th Feb and the train was 1033 (Now 11033)Pune Darbhanga Gyan Ganga Express.
My marraige was scheduled on 27th Feb and I was in Nashik then, had to travel to Muzaffarpur Bihar. My options were 11061 Pawan Express or Changeover some train and Allahabad (Now prayagraj) or travel from Nashik to Patna in 13202 LTT express or 12141 the premier superfast.

But I decided to do something new and booked a ticket in 2AC of this train from Manmad on 18th Feb 2009 which was Wednesday as it was weekly. The rumors of it becoming superfast was also surfaced that time as its RSA train Pune-Varanasi 22131 was converted to superfast around that time.
I travelled from Nasik to Manmad in 2117 Godavari Superfast Train. The train arrived right time and reached Manmad around 10 mins late. I waited for approximately 3 hours as the train arrived 30 mins late at Manmad. After I boarded the train, 2 AC was new to me that time as I had never travelled in AC class before that. I was allotted with LB as I booked the ticket in advance from counter. I went to my seat and put my two heavy bags below it. I found that the bedding was kept there and the other three seats were occupied by a family. The train departed and thinking of my marriage I gradually went to sleep. I have an habit of waking up early and when I woke up the train was at Itarsi and talked to my parents and told them the current status. Further I took breakfast from pantry car and I dont remember what it was. Little later other three in my cabin woke up and they were uncle and Aunt with their son. They were going to Varanasi for pilgrimage. The train reached Allahabad on time. and I took my lunch there. In between I had Samosas and Chips. After the train departed Allahabad, I again went to sleep and then woke up around 7 pm the train was nearing Varanasi. At varanasi the family deboarded and nobody boarded in my cabin. I took dinner from pantry and slept. In the moning when I woke up the train was at Hajipur, it was halted there for long as there were one or two crossing owing to single line section. The train departed Hajipur and reached Ramdayalu, where it halted for another 25 mins and then It arrived Muzaffarpur on PF 3. The journey was not that memorable, but it was special by many means to me.
please wait...Translate to EnglishYo, February is a big deal for me, so I wanna share an old adventure I had back in 2009. It was February 18th and I hopped on the 1033 (now 11033) Pune Darbhanga Gyan Ganga Express train.
See, my wedding was scheduled for February 27th and I was in Nashik, needing to get to Muzaffarpur in Bihar. I had a few options, either taking the 11061 Pawan Express or switching trains in Allahabad (now prayagraj), or even traveling from Nashik to Patna on the 13202 LTT Express or the 12141 superfast train.
But you know what? I wanted to do something different, so I booked a 2AC ticket on this Manmad to Darbhanga train. It was Wednesday, the only day this train ran. Rumors were going around that it might become a superfast train, just like the Pune-Varanasi 22131.
Anyways, I got on the train after taking the 2117 Godavari Superfast Train from Nasik to Manmad. It was on time, though it arrived at Manmad 10 minutes late. I waited around 3 hours for the train since it arrived 30 minutes behind schedule. When I finally boarded, I realized this was my first time in a 2AC class, and my seat was the lower berth. I stashed my heavy bags beneath it, but oops, they had put the bedding there. The other three seats were taken by a family.
The train started moving, and with thoughts of my upcoming marriage on my mind, I dozed off. I'm an early riser, so when I woke up, the train was at Itarsi. I called my parents to update them on my situation. Then I grabbed some breakfast from the pantry car. Can't remember what it was, though.
A little later, the rest of the people in my cabin woke up. Turns out, they were an aunt, uncle, and their son, all heading to Varanasi for a pilgrimage. We reached Allahabad on time, where I had lunch. Oh, and I snacked on samosas and chips during the journey.
Once we passed Allahabad, I knocked out again until around 7 pm when we were close to Varanasi. The family got off at Varanasi, and no one else joined me in the cabin. I grabbed dinner from the pantry and went to sleep.
When I woke up in the morning, the train was at Hajipur, and we stayed there for a while due to some crossings on a single line section. Finally, we left Hajipur and arrived at Ramdayalu, where we stopped for another 25 minutes. From there, it was a short ride to Muzaffarpur, and we docked at platform 3.
Overall, the journey wasn't exactly unforgettable, but it was still pretty special to me, for various reasons.
