They argue that the train currently sits idle for extended periods, making it possible to increase its frequency without significant additional costs. The Garib Rath Express was launched by former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav to provide affordable AC travel for the lower-income population.

Monday aur Friday ko 12:10 PM pe chalta hai. Agla din Anandpur Vihar Terminal pe 9:00 AM pe pahunchta hai. Local residents ka kehna hai ki train ko hafte mein four days chalaaya jaaye. Yeh train ECR Railway se NER Railway mein transfer ho gaya hai, par frequency same hi hai. Isse border region mein middle class logon ko Delhi tak travel karne ke liye kam paise mein option milega. Train abhi bahut samay tak idle rehta hai, so frequency badhana mushkil nahi hoga. Garib Rath Express ko former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav ne lower-income population ke liye Delhi tak affordbale AC travel provide karne ke liye start kiya tha.
