The October heat of the Deccan Plateau and the Sultry Mumbai Weather was a dampener on our Close-by Railfanning Trips.This factor set the ball rolling in for a long getaway trip to somewhere calmer, primitive and rustic. After couple of brainstorming sessions and multiple suggestions, not to mention the availability of to and fro tickets, we set up our plan for this Metre Gauge section. The whole trip had to be planned in such a way that our weekend was well utilized and we'd be able to join our respective workplaces on Monday.

It was the D-Day, 31st OCT.As per our plan Four of Us assembled at CST and board the Legendary Punjab Mail to Khandwa and the Fifth one would join us at Bhusaval.The following journey was uneventful, had our packed dinner alongwith the delicious Gujarati Dhoklas brought by Paurav Bhau from his home. Owing to an early morning arrival at KNW, we decided to retire to our berths and catch some sleep.......(to be continued)
