Vande Bharat (VB) trains turn out to be the contemporary version of Shatabdi trains meant for premium intercity travel, and VMs being unreserved AC trains turn out to be nothing but modern AC MEMUs?
What about the most widely accepted form of reserved intercity and janshatabdi trains? No contemporary trainset versions for them?

Intercity Railways across the world runs on un reserved format with facility to reserve the seat with an additional charge .
Even High speed rails across EU and Asia runs on the same format .
It’s good they are improving unreserved intercity travel. They should replace all JS and ICEs by VMs by just adding 4 reservable CC coaches !

This is exactly something that I'm concerned with.
In India if you'll keep one coach reserved and the others unreserved, unreserved pax are bound to create a nuisance for the reserved ones. On the other hand, entirely unreserved intercities seem to be totally unacceptable to me.

But it’s the global best practice … world over additional capacity is provided on intercity routes as it considered that rail travel is an urgency based travel , forced reservations and less supply hampers to the financial bottoms and social causes ….
The best that can be done in Indian scenario is to add 4 separate CC coaches !!

I have never seen anythng like this before !!
Wasn't naming of the world's largest stadium also on the same lines?
