Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has opposed the extension of the Bengaluru-Kannur express train service to Kozhikode, Kerala. In a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, he argued that the extension would negatively impact commuters on the existing Bengaluru-Kannur route. The train, running as 16511 and 16512, is the only...

overnight express between Bengaluru and Kannur via Mangalore and is always full. Extending the service to Kozhikode, which is already well-connected to Bengaluru by other trains, would create additional demand for seats, making it difficult for Karnataka passengers to secure them. Rao pointed out that the extension would also reduce the availability of reserved berths on the train as unreserved coaches would be occupied by passengers travelling between Kannur and Kozhikode. He requested the Railway Ministry to reconsider the extension and retain the existing train services.

Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao ne Bengaluru-Kannur express train service ko Kozhikode, Kerala tak extend karne ka virodh kiya hai. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ko likhe gaye ek letter mein, unhone argument kiya ki extension se Bengaluru-Kannur route ke commuters par negative impact padega. Train, 16511 aur 16512 ke roop...

mein chalti hai, Bengaluru aur Kannur ke beech Mangalore se hoti hui ekmaatr overnight express hai aur yeh hamesha full hoti hai. Service ko Kozhikode tak extend karne se, jahan pehle se hi Bengaluru se accha connectivity hai, seats ki extra demand ban jaayegi, jisse Karnataka ke passengers ke liye seats secure karna mushkil ho jaayega. Rao ne point kiya ki extension se train mein reserved berths ki availability bhi kam ho jaayegi, kyunki unreserved coaches ko Kannur aur Kozhikode ke beech travel karne wale passengers occupy kar lenge. Unhone Railway Ministry se request ki hai ki woh extension ko reconsider karein aur existing train services ko maintain rakhein.

Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has requested the Indian Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to reconsider the decision to extend the Bengaluru-Kannur train service to Kozhikode in Kerala. full train. He believes this extension is illogical and potentially motivated by ‘oblique interests’. He points out that Kozhikode is already well-connected by train to Bangalore, and that the extension will likely lead to passengers switching from other trains to the extended service. Rao also highlights the Railway Board's inconsistent approach by accommodating requests from other states while denying Karnataka's request to extend the Vande Bharat Express to Mangaluru.

Karnataka ke Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao ne Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw se Bengaluru-Kannur train service ko Kerala ke Kozhikode tak extend karne ke decision ko reconsider karne ka request kiya hai. already full train mein seats milna mushkil ho jayega. Unka maanana hai ki yeh extension illogical hai aur shayad ‘oblique interests’ se motivate kiya gaya hai. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki Kozhikode already train se Bangalore se well-connected hai, aur extension se shayad dusre trains se passengers extended service mein switch kar jaayenge. Rao ne yeh bhi highlight kiya ki Railway Board ‘other states’ ke request ko accommodate kar raha hai, lekin Karnataka ki Vande Bharat Express ko Mangaluru tak extend karne ki demand ko reject kar raha hai.
