began service on December 15th, 1983, fulfilling the demand of daily commuters from Purulia. It runs via Adra and Kharagpur. On the anniversary, rail fans celebrated by decorating the engine with flowers and garlands, placing a sticker commemorating the 40th anniversary on the engine, and adorning the train coaches with garlands. They also cut a cake in honor of the occasion, offering it to railway staff and presenting the train driver, assistant driver, and train manager with sweets and garlands. The train departs from Purulia at 5:30 AM and reaches Howrah at 11:20 AM. The Howrah-Purulia train departs from Howrah at 4:50 PM and arrives in Purulia at 10:30 PM. This train covers approximately 323 kilometers between Howrah and Purulia in around 5 hours and 40 minutes, with stops at 14 stations along the way.

Howrah se shaam 4:50 PM mein chalti hai aur Purulia 10:30 PM pe pahunchti hai. Yeh train Howrah aur Purulia ke beech ki 323 kilometer ki distance 5 hours and 40 minutes mein cover karti hai, aur 14 stations pe rukti hai.
