The South Central Railway has diverted trains due to ongoing safety-related works, including Train No. 12509 SMVT Bengaluru-Guwahati Express, Train No. 18111 Tatanagar-Yesvantpur Express, Train No. 18637 Hatia-SMVT Bengaluru Express, Train No. 12835 Hatia-SMVT Bengaluru Express, and Train No. 12889 Tatanagar-SMVT Bengaluru Express. The East Coast Railway has added an extra AC three-tier coach to Train No. 12845 Bhubaneswar-SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express and Train No. 12846 SMVT Bengaluru-Bhubaneswar Weekly Express to accommodate the extra rush of passengers. Several trains have been extended in service, including Train No. 07355 SSS Hubballi-Rameswaram, Train No. 07356 Rameswaram-SSS Hubballi, Train No. 07377 Vijayapura-Mangaluru Jn., and Train No. 07378 Mangaluru Jn.-Vijayapura Express. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Weekly Express (Train No. 12835), the Jasidih-Tambaram Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 12376), and the Hatia-Ernakulam Dharti Aba Express (Train No. 22837). Additionally, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Chakradharpur Railway Division, A.J. Rathod, will be on a four-day tour from December 27th to 30th. During this tour, he will visit Rajkharsawan, Jaruli, Nayagarh, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road Railway Division, and Rourkela. On December 28th, he will conduct a speed trial of the newly constructed railway line doubling between Jaruli and Nayagarh along with the Chief Railway Safety Officer (CRSO). The DRM will be accompanied by senior officials of the division.
