While the railway claims the change is for passenger convenience, the reduction in sleeper coaches has led to overcrowding and discomfort. The spokesperson of the North Eastern Railway, Varanasi Division, claims the increase in AC coaches is a permanent decision.

Isse kam aay waale passengers ko pareshani ho rahi hai, kyunki unhein mahenge AC tickets lene pade rahe hain ya phir baki sleeper coaches mein bheed jhelni padti hai. Other train extensions include the 20103/04 LTT-Gorakhpur-LTT to Thawe, 13507/08 Asansol-Gorakhpur-Asansol to Barhni, 11037/38 Gorakhpur-Pune-Gorakhpur to Balrampur, and 11081/82 LTT-Gorakhpur-LTT to Balrampur. Additionally, the frequency of trains like 12597/98 Gorakhpur-CSMT-Gorakhpur and 22921/22 Bandra-Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus will be increased to twice a week. This initiative aims to relieve congestion at Gorakhpur Junction and improve connectivity for people in the region, while also facilitating smoother train operations. The Indian Railways Time Table Committee will meet in Jaipur from April 10th to 12th to finalize these plans. The increased train frequency and extended routes are expected to come into effect soon after the committee's approval.

The Chhapra-Lucknow Express train (15053 up and 15054 down) has started halting at Karimuddinpur railway station in Ghazipur, starting on Friday. Passengers are happy with the new halt. On the first day, passengers welcomed the crew and guard with garlands and sweets.

Ghazipur ke Karimuddinpur railway station pe Chhapra-Lucknow Express train (15053 up aur 15054 down) ka thahraav Shukravaar se start ho gaya hai. Yaatriyon mein isse khushi hai. Pehle din thahraav pe rail yaatriyon ne chalak dal aur guard ko mala pehna kar aur mithai khila kar welcome kiya.
