The new timing will also affect the Dhanbad-Howrah Black Diamond Express, which will depart from Dhanbad at 7:00 PM instead of 4:20 PM. The change in the Intercity's timings will also mean that the train will arrive at all stations between Ranchi and Dhanbad approximately two hours earlier, arriving at Dhanbad at 9:30 PM, ahead of the 9:50 PM Maury Express.
