These passengers are returning to work in industrial units in these areas after their holiday. Due to increased passenger traffic, the railway authorities had introduced these special trains. Several passengers have been tweeting about the crowded conditions and sharing photos of the coach situation. The Anand Vihar Patna Special was delayed by 12.5 hours, the Gaya Special by 8 hours, the Barauni-New Delhi Special by 8 hours, the Udhana Special by 7 hours, the Farakka Express 13483 by 2 hours, and the Mahabodhi Express 12398 by 2 hours. Passengers have reported that special trains are being held at outer stations while other superfast and express trains are allowed to pass. In an unrelated incident, a female passenger named Kusuma fell ill in the sleeper coach of the Marudhar Express. Another passenger tweeted about the incident, and she received medical attention at Central Station. Kusuma's health deteriorated after the train crossed Etawah station.
