The timetable for the Dhanbad-Patna section of the Ganga-Damodar Express will remain unchanged. Both the Ganga-Damodar Express and the new Patna-Dumka train will operate under different train numbers. This decision has disappointed many passengers traveling to Bihar, who had been advocating for the extension of the Ganga-Damodar Express to Ara for a long time. The railway justifies the decision by stating that the Ganga-Damodar Express, after arriving in Patna from Dhanbad in the morning, remains idle for 17 hours and 15 minutes. During this time, the train will be used for the new Patna-Dumka service.

The reason this new train was conceptualized is so that GD doesn't get extended from PNBE side in the first place. The moment there was a hint of political pressure from ARA, ECR came out with this train for BGP as to prevent the extension of this train from PNBE to ARA side.
Just goes to show how DNR treats their own stations if they aren't from Patna area.
Had the loco reversal at PNBE been such an issue, ECR could have easily subverted that issue by routing it via Tilaiya, Rajgir after...

The fact that BGP which is in ER gets more sympathy than ARA just goes on to perfectly elucidate the mentality of DNR_ECR as a whole!

Yeah, you will find a lot of ECR sympathizers here often in a group, giving illogical justifications and hijacking and derailing genuine blogs.
But if you remove all possible biases and just look objectively at the evidences stemming from their behavior, the only conclusion that can be formed is that ECR is the shittiest zone in IR, and can't simply get over their Patna fetishes...
