July 8th to July 22nd. The Tambaram-Kochuveli bi-weekly special (Train No. 06035), running on Thursdays and Saturdays, will be extended from July 4th to July 20th. Lastly, the Kochuveli-Tambaram bi-weekly special (Train No. 06036), operating on Fridays and Saturdays, will be extended from July 5th to July 21st. All extended services will maintain their original composition, timings, and stoppages.

A special holiday train, Chennai Tambaram-Kochuveli, will commence service on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, on the Kollam-Punalur-Chengotta route. after the Chengotta route was converted to broad gauge. The train consists of 16 coaches, 14 of which are third AC economy coaches. The train will depart from Tambaram at 9:40 PM and arrive at Kochuveli at 1:40 PM the next day. The return journey will depart from Kochuveli at 3:35 PM and arrive at Tambaram at 7:35 AM the next day. The train is equipped with Link Hoffman Busch (LHB) coaches, which are considered safer and more comfortable. This is the first time that LHB coaches are being used for a regular service on the Kollam-Chengotta route.
