A total of 264 trains pass through Prayagraj Junction, with 35 pairs (70 trains) operating daily, 108 trains operating once a week, and others operating between two to four days a week. Prayagraj is the most populous district in the state and is also known as a religious and spiritual city. Several state-level offices, including the Allahabad High Court, are located in Prayagraj. Despite being the location of the General Manager and Divisional Railway Manager offices, 24 pairs of trains do not stop here, while all of these trains stop at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, located approximately 150 km away. Considering the upcoming Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj next year, a demand has been made to ensure that all trains passing through the city stop there. Currently, a proposal has been sent to the Railway Board for all non-stop trains passing through Prayagraj to stop, keeping the Kumbh Mela in mind. The Senior DCM of North Central Railway Prayagraj Division, Himanshu Shukla, states that there is hope that the board will grant permission for the trains to stop here.

Prayagraj Junction pe total 264 trains ka aavajan hai, jisme 35 pairs (70 trains) daily operate hoti hain, 108 trains har hafta ek din operate hoti hain, aur baaki 2 se 4 din mein operate hoti hain. Prayagraj state ka sabse zyada aabadi wala district hai, aur ye dharma aur adhyatma ki nagri bhi hai. Allahabad High Court aur kai state level offices Prayagraj mein hi hain. General Manager aur Divisional Railway Manager office hone ke baavjud, yaha 24 pairs of trains ka stoppage nahi hai, jabki Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, jo ki 150 km door hai, pe ye sab trains rukti hain. Agle saal Prayagraj mein Kumbh Mela ka aayojan hai, isliye demand ki ja rahi hai ki Prayagraj se hoke guzarne wali sabhi trains yaha ruken. The Sampoorna Kranti Express was delayed by 14 hours. 24 trains to and from Patna on Monday experienced delays, and the Mahananda Express was canceled. While the Tejas Rajdhani and Sampoorna Kranti Express departed on time from Patna on Monday, the situation in Delhi and other cities where visibility was low due to fog impacted flight services to and from Patna, causing further delays and cancellations. The first flight to Patna on Monday arrived from Lucknow at 12:35 PM, delayed by 1 hour and 25 minutes. 24 other flights also faced delays, with some experiencing delays of up to 24 hours.
