The latest update has nothing to do with geo. Geo is working on all devices and on all versions of Android. There just seems to be a problem with your specific device. Everyone else has been using geo without any issues.
Go to Settings-Apps and make sure you have not disabled it or denied gps access to Fmt (security permissions - denied access). This may most probably be the reason.

It worked before updating my phone to Android 12. The garib rath and Jan Shadabdi journeys were completely fine . I will check from my end anyways

Your issue was investigated, and yes, there is an issue with Android 12. An emergency big fix will be available in 1 hour.
