In frame: 16524 Karwar - KSR Bengaluru Express via Mysuru charges out of the abundant foliage right before crossing the mighty Aghanashini river powered by a prancing Alco from Erode (ED), WDM 3D # 11199. This train along with 16513/14 KAWR-SBC Exp via Kunigal was the forerunner of today's Panchaganga Express (16595/96) . In fact, IR cancelled 16523/24 via MYS permanently, increased the frequency of 16513/14 from tri-weekly to daily & renumbered the service as 16595/96. Soon, the name Panchaganga followed.

This train should ideally have gone upto LJN though I doubt that'll ever happen due to platform constraints at LJN, time constraint for this train[has 1 hour TAT time and taking it to LJN will squeeze that furthur] plus IR terminates it at GTNR to artificially reduce time on paper[just like how DEC-JP VB is run from Delhi Cantt instead of DLI or NDLS].

Not that well. The main highway[ if someone is coming via public transport] is still a km away. PF # 6 side of the station is still under significant construction. There is no current neither proposed metro connectivity for this station either. [In comparasion, even Lucknow City is getting a metro station in second phase underway now]. And with shuttling down of Lucknow-Barabanki EMU services, going/coming from this station via train is tougher as well.
Not many trains use it as of now. The only daily train that starts is the evening...
