I stayed at Hotel Savvy Grand on Lohia Path, Vibhuti Khand from Monday to Wednesday. The office was close by.
The auto guys were asking for a hefty 80 bucks just to go 2 kilometres from Indiranagar Metro Station to the hotel. When I asked them, "Are you living in a whole new world or what?" they agreed on 60 rupees, but that's still too much.
They'll rip you off on the way to Gomatinagar Station.
It would've been easier if it was Badshah Nagar because there's a Metro Station nearby which keeps the auto and cab prices in check.
In Gomatinagar, they'd have a complete monopoly.
Hey folks of Lucknow, get this - Gomatinagar ain't no Delhi Cantt and Patna ain't no Jaipur with crazy traffic. There's already not much reason for people to take this Vande Bharat due to the longer route and slow timings. On top of that, with Gomatinagar being difficult to reach, you'll have a tough time.

I'm always riding EC on Vande Bharat Trains and Shatabdi Trains, you can check out my blogs for proof. Let me tell you, rich folks ain't got time for trains 😂. Ask someone fancy cruising in First Class if they're there for travel or just chilling in the station after getting ripped off by Auto and Cabs. We can handle the stinky station nearby if it's well connected. If I'm arriving in the afternoon, I better be able to switch trains easily. That's just how it is for us Premium Train travelers. Even though I had a company cab booked for a Sitapur Round Trip, I still took an auto 'cause it's quicker at night. 20-minute ride from Hasanganj to catch the Lucknow New Delhi AC Express. Gave the auto guy 100 bucks and a 50-buck tip. Gomati Nagar is a whole different mess.. Come on, I get you wanna defend the new terminal, but the connectivity right now is just not cutting it.

In Patna, the roads are way better, ya know? I arrived at Danapur Junction at midnight and took an auto to Hotel The Panache in Gandhi Maidan Area. I paid 400 bucks for that ride, man. The roads were all dusty and bumpy, but still better than trains in the Patna area, ya feel me? I realized that the next day, haha. Made a mistake waiting for the Jaynagar Intercity at Patliputra Station, it was 1.5 hours late from Danapur Junction, can you believe it? I ain't ever gonna depend on trains in Patna area again. That place is good for just one time by train. I've been to Patna area twice since June 2023, and both times I used a combination of flight and taxi. Those AC coaches on trains in Buxar-Patna-Kiul or Patna-Hajipur-Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga sections ain't suitable for people looking for comfort, especially during the daytime. Haha, who knew, right?
