hello imran bhai,
the admin system was greatly flawed, one basically needed friendship or loyalty with existing powerful admins to become an admin.
.
know how of trains, blogging contributed to 25% of the scoring (thought it was advertised as sole criteria), while loyalty to a faction, ability to ambush rival factions posts, friendship with powerful admins contributed the remaining 75%. ...
.
i had several disagreement with the selection process, as it was akin to some club mindset. Realizing the obvious harm such culture posed, moderator sir decided to decentralized the admin system, divesting powers to edit various site features into PNR Monitor, TL Monitor, Atlas Monitor etc.
.
the new system lead to dissatisfaction among admins thereby reducing participation in admin forum. (some disliked diminishing control over the powerful club, some disliked quality of new joinings making avoidable and illegit site edits)
.
and then came the final nail, an admin requested humanitarian help being stuck midway in a journey with a patient losing vitals fast... and sadly there were no responses.. (this can be attributed to very low participation of admins, previous instance of questionable conduct of the admin seeking help etc)... and then moderator sir decided to disband the admin forum altogether
.
i never liked the opaque recommendation based selection criteria, and favored merit over loyalty... hence never recommended any names as a protest
