Yeah, I totally agree man. It's such a waste of fuel and money, but this crap is happening all because the Railway board screwed up their planning. They should have electrified the sections step by step, you know, considering the large number of diesel trains and how they're used. First, they set this goal of 100% electrification, and then they go and scrap those AlCo locomotives that were still in service (granted, some of them were past their prime and needed to be scrapped) and even gave some away to Bangladesh. And now they're scrapping those new and well-maintained WDM3D locomotives too, when they could have been used for other stuff. What a complete waste of money that was spent on manufacturing these locomotives.

And get this, they're still making the same damn mistake by electrifying some routes where only a few trains run each day, including freight and passenger trains. Instead of doubling the sections and making the trains faster, they're just busy electrifying everything.

Now, let me tell you about Central Railways. Man, that zone is just hopeless. They don't even plan or take any action. They're still running trains with those outdated BSL/WAG5 and AQ/KYN/WAG9 locomotives, while their fancy WAP7 fleet is just being used for some fancy Bharat Bhraman Tour. We're facing a massive shortage of passenger locomotives, especially WAP7, but they're just sitting on their asses, doing nothing.

With all this messed up planning, it would be way better to run short distance trains with diesel traction. At least that way, we could properly utilize our diesel fleet instead of forcefully scrapping the running locomotives that are still in good condition.
