MAS to HWH by Coromandel Exp. - Part 3 (Jan 2000) : Part 3 covers the journey from Vijayawada till Bhubaneswar. After Vijayawada, the train showed its true colors and skipped every station till Visakhapatnam except Rajahmundry, a scheduled halt. It made up the 35-minute delay and would have reached VSKP on time, if not for an unfortunate loco failure at the station outskirts. At VSKP, our Vijayawada WAM4 was replaced by a Kazipet WDM2C (Baldie) and I was able to relish Alco chugs throughout the night. Be sure to enjoy the following:

Spotted orange WDG 3A Twins in a hot sunny afternoon, lead by conventional GTL 14971, trailed by trademark baldie from GY 14571, both came for POH in GOC and now in the final stage, calmly negotiating the curve in Thanjavur Jn outer.. 02.01.2020, 14:30 Hrs.
These Baldie locomotives were Hauling Long Distance Trains in Those Days
