JBP Pune Special is the oldest running special of IR, which has been in operation for more than 10 years now, and is still not regularized. Also, JBP lacks a proper connection to Mumbai with only a dedicated tri-weekly GR. Hence, introducing this four days a week train which shall help improve connectivity to both the megalopolises. Shares the time slot with JBP Pune Special between JBP and BSL and BPQ LTT Express between BSL and KYN.

IR is playing smart by not regularizing Special trains due to their "Special Fare". The moment they regularize it, they lose the extra revenue they garner in name of so called Special Fare! So, forget regularizing them as long as they isn't any political pressure from public representatives

Yea, this is what I feel has happened post RB was shun. Now trains are introduced only as lollipops for political advantage or on the demand by a few strong candidates. There is nothing based upon the need and requirement now in IR.

Rate and suggest (YOU MUST GREEN FLAG THIS, need 100 ratings) only second train in IR which bypasses Kanpur, providing a Superfast connection between Chandigarh, Delhi, Agra and Prayagraj

Vishakapatnam is an important halt even as per IR Purview, Because while Loco Reverses, Train gets cleaned and staff also changes. hence 20 mins halt is provided to all train so staff can change, train gets cleaned and checked and Loco is reversed.

@Aditya: requested to kindly restore VSKP Halt

No, I was just curious. Although the definition of intercity train is a sitting SF connection between capital city to another major city but we all know that IR doesn't follow that definition at all.
