People may dont like this train that much for end to end travel as compare to its sister sampark kranti, but journey in this train was one of the memorable one of my life....
*** A Journey to Remember***
It was 15th Jan 2013, just the day after Sankranthi, i had my confirmed ticket from Yeswantpur to Jhansi, at that time it used to start at 12:50 from Yeswantpur.

After finishing all kitchen and house chores and making room ready to get locked for a month, I left from Koramangala 1st block at 10:30 which wasnt a wise decision that i came to know later, I boarded the bus towards Shantinagar bus stop and then after changing bus to Majestic from there, I reached majestic bus stop at 12:20!!
At that time I was cursing rly that why it didnt start this train from SBC. I knew that catching this train now totally depends upon God's grace..
I booked an auto from there towards Yeswantpur, requesting the driver in broken kannada for taking shortest route, and really he was so understanding and he was looking as concerned as it was him who has to board. My heart was throbbing out like anything as minutes were increasing, it was already 12:50, finally he left me at Yeswantpur Jn at 12:55, I thanked him and gave him 100rs extra for his concern towards me….

After loco reversal train was set to its non stop journey till manmad through the soils of rural Maharashtra, I was also excited to see the black fertile soil famous for its cotton, onion, and groundnuts along with grapes. When I went to S2 for charging my mobile phone, I really realized that our Indian Railway plays a vital role in maintaining Unity and Diversity, the maxm passengers were Kashmiri people returning from Bangalore from a religious get together ceremony in Islam.
In a single train I met with ”Kannada, Telugu, Marwari, Marathi, UP, Haryana and Kashmiri people..”, happily interchanging their thoughts which was more through expressions than words and were mixed with each other as friends since ages….

We were frankly exchanging our language and those guys still say "NOKO" :p in place of "nako", marathi word for no..
The train was going thru and i had a view of Mighty Godavari, my heart sank when i saw that its the same Godavari which is broad like anything at Rajamundry, there it was totally

The train had a crossing with Goa Exp at Belapur and Very soon train made its unscheduled halt at Kopargaon, as i felt it wasnt such a gd station.
When train reached Manmad, i just went to the purchasing of raisins, and i had very tasty pomegranate seeds with sprinkled spices along with vada pav. Both were really tasty, not just to say.
The train's loco link was changed to Wap now, and when everyone was enjoying Manmad's tasty item, train started and gave run like anything till Jalgaon, where it slowed

Bhusawal, Bsl, one of the finest stations enroute, hot Masala Dosa, fruits, Bananas were available on platform itself, I was desperate to shampoo my hairs as I was tired with long travel, the stall on pf which is a book stand was having shampoo oil along with medicines. The cleaning of train was done at Bsll. The train then started its non stop journey till Itarsi, passing through terrains of Satpura.
I was busy in evng tea and snacks along with my co pax at my bay. The two marathi pax, that boarded from pune, one was pune based n other was Ratnagiri based, we all were speaking in marathi, and one by one we spoke Vidarbha Marathi, Pune Marathi and Konkani

It is a misconception that these surnames are in Maharashtra only. These are very common in Central and Northern parts of Karnataka. Out of 10 homes one can find a surname of Kulkarni / Deshpande / Joshi / Patil in 8-9 homes. And many of them doesn't have any link with Maharashtra.
