Whatever Mr Kharge has done is beyond what anybody can do in just 9 months... Whatever new trains He has started are all very needed ones and have good response and perfect timing as well. The 3 trains started by him are :
[1] Running 22133/34 SUR-YPR-SUR SF EXP daily.
[2] 16571/72 YPR-BIDR-YPR Exp, which will be daily in 3-4 months.
[3] 17319/20 UBL-SC-UBL...
more... Exp, which will be daily in 3-4 months.
All 3 are very good trains with convenient timings.
Coach factory at Kolar, LHB spare parts factory at Yadgir, Coach re-habitation unit at Khanpur and Railway Division at Gulbarga are unexpected gifts to the state.
16569/70 YPR-KCG-YPR tri-weekly exp was announced in the previous budget by Mr Bhansal. It's TT was prepared in July, Mr Kharge had no role in setting it's TT, it was a decision by Railway Time Table Committee under RB.
The amount of loss sub-urban rails make are very huge... In it's current state, it is highly unlikely that IR will approve anymore sub-urban rail systems in the country.
Yelahanka-Yesvantpur and Yelahanka-Chennasandra line doubling are going at good speed, should be ready by year end. With this, traffic inside city can be solved.
Bangalore-Hubli-Mumbai line doesn't have much passenger traffic as well as fright traffic, before this Yelahanka - Gooty must be doubled and electrified. This route has chocked to the core with passenger and fright train movements. On this route trains has good patronage also. By doubling this stretch, both Mumbai-Bangalore and Hyderabad-Bangalore will have double electrified lines.
I don't think Karnataka/SWR should worry much about Hosur... If at all "Namma Railu" comes into existence (with all probability the major share would be from Karnataka Govt), infrastructure should be developed till Anekal by making it a big terminal for local trains.
