Semi High Speed trains in the form of Shatabdis running @ 160 Kmph MPS on routes like New Delhi - Agra, New Delhi - Chandigarh and New Delhi - Kanpur are on the agenda. Track Renewal and maintenance/repair/modifications etc on these routes will require huge money. For eg: Rs. 15 Crore on NDLS-AGC Route. Quadrupling of tracks on Bombay (Mumbai BCT) - New Delhi and Howrah - New Delhi (Via Dhanbad - Mughalsarai) Routes can take place by setting up of DFC Tracks for uninterrupted freight and SF Trains movement on these tracks :-)
