Don't you think that after diversion of DBRT Rajdhani on the BJU-HJP-PPTA route, it will eventually get stoppage at Hajipur and/or Sonpur in future, which might affect both punctuality and ticket availability of already over capacity running train?
The reason of why i feel there will be stoppage at these places is that, both are important stations of their zone and Sonpur is also a divisional headquarter. Hence, with time; owing to importance of the station, political pressure etc there are chances that stop of a "RAJDHANI" is demanded and later implemented.

Yar Shram Shakti ka Panki mein hua hai, which is nothing but for Kanpur passengers only. It is just like a suburban stop like Jaipur trains have stop at Durgapura, DEE trains at DEC and so on. I dont know about Gwalior Mail though. However, DBRT Rajdhani ka case shayad isliye bhi hai kyuki it is one of the most "loss generating Rajdhani". This will be important thing to stop them from granting any stop!

What if 12436 follows BSB-MGS-PPTA-HJP without stop at PPTA. In this way it can retain electric loco till BJU/KIR because there is no news of electrification of BSB-GCT route which it presently follows. However, no stop at PPTA seems more virtual than the suggested route.
Bhai wo bhi ek reason tha par main reason to yehi hai ki patNa me space ki kami ki wajah se hjp ko chuna gaya tha..Nahi zone HQ Patna me hi banta..aur waise bhi dekha jaye to hjp Patna ka hi ek sub urb banta ja raha hai..
