Call it Sheer Luck or My Good Fortune.
Went to Munger Ganga Bridge today just to spend some beautiful moments on it and also witness the Flooded River Ganga in her mighty form. I fully enjoyed my time on Railway Bridge, after which I decided to go further up on The Roadway part. I was Enjoying there too- Beautiful Scenery, Full View of Munger and River Ganga when I suddenly heard honking of an Alco. Dismissing it as false belief of Tilrath-Jamalpur DEMU Crossing the Bridge (as it's timing was much later), I continued to enjoy. Few minutes later, I heard the humming of approaching Alco which confirmed that the train is Crossing the bridge....
more... In haste, I rushed towards the dangerous stairs and tried to get down to the Railway part but all in vain. The Loco was in front of my eyes, A Blue WDM, which at first sight incurred to me as JMP WDM 3A. But then came the most surprising and astonishing part- Blue Coloured ICF coaches. I was just pondering upon whether the rake of DEMUs plying through the bridge has been changed- when another astonishing thing appeared before my eyes, The Train's
#TB, on which it was written Okha-Guwahati Express. Yeah, this particular train was Crossing the Munger Ganga Bridge- A FIRST for any Express Train. Luckily, I had my mobile ready to capture this historic moment (forgot to record the video :D). Later I got to know that Rail Operation was stopped between Naugachia and Katihar due to Flood, hence the diversion.
