I had traveled on this in July 2017.
Dinner was supplied by some vendors at around 7-9pm in the train.
I had non veg rice item (biryani/ fired rice), it was decent in railway standards.
If you find them good then good for you.

But the best advice will be to Purchase a well sealed food from YPR it self via Zomato or Swiggy. Back in 2017 we couldn't find a decent restaurant in YPR too neither Zomato/ Swiggy were popular.
Don't expect to find good food before Hubli. That too depends on which PF the train arrives.
One's choice and taste of food varies but be prepared for this train journey with back up food choices. I generally never buy food from vendors other than the Pantry vendors but that day night I had too.
I think the vendor I purchased from was an IR authorised vendor.
