Because of introducing such short distance halts, people traveling by this train, so That's why, I objecting such short distance halt. If Jalgaon is big city & it deserve halt then why train stopping at Bhusaval? You know, you can not avoid Bhusaval halt of any train, so Is it fair to stop train which travels 1968 KMS should stop at Jalgaon which is 25 KMS far from Bhusaval?
When you ask halt for every & each town/ city then do you think about the current patronage of train? if train running empty then it deserve halt but train like Geetanjali which is already at it's peak capacity, is OK to stop

at JL, SEG, Malkapur etc?
Now point two
How many Jalgaon people traveling by Geetanjali to Shegaon go for reservation? I am sure answer is hardly or single digit . Max people traveling to Shegaon just purchase S/F Genral Ticket & entering SL Coach, Requesting People for adjustment for seats who have proper reservation without thinking about there comfort. This is harsh reality so that's why I strongly feel Short distance halt should be remove I know not possible from all trains but prestigious trains.
I request, not only Jalgaonkar but also Bhandarakar, Malkapurkar, Shegaonkar please spare Geetanjali
BTW, I hope you took this reply in right manner.

Its Impossible to Remove Stoppages. Because whatever you say, train has got good response to Mumbai Nagpur,Howrah from Jalgaon. Ajintha Ellora caves are at Shortest distance from Jalgaon (50 Km). Its not about the distance always, you can't just skip District Headquarter because they are just 25km away from Bhusaval. By the way, there are other trains which skip Jalgaon and even Nasikroad. Jnaneshwari, Samarsata can be choosen instead Gitanjali. You have to Maintain a balance between Stations and Stoppages. Shegaon halt is given on special request from Mumbai passengers. Tatanagar- LTT Antyoday is a good solution to this problem, because the route is same for both trains and can share patronage on Nagpur-Mumbai route, but the fact is this train has same halts as Gitanjali outside Maharashtra and just 1 Halt Chalisgaon ( BSL, NGP are Mandatory). I have seen this train, out of 18 coaches, 7-8 coaches are not...

even opened. If this train runs daily with halts at Badnera, Akola, Jalgaon and Nasikroad, it will eventually benefit Mumbai- Nagpur Route Passengers and Gitanjali rush can be Neutralised.

So atleast, you are agree that, there is no balancing between Jnaneshari and Gitanjali Express with respect to stoppages.
Do you know actual problem is, each and every people want to stop a train at his station, because of population, every booked halt gives good response but what about travelers which are traveling for long distance.
Today, you said Jalgaon halt is because of population ( District HQ) & Ajanta Caves then another one will say Manmad is Important because of people from Jalna Aurangabad
...
can board train at MMR, Chalisgaon People can say It is nearest Railhead of Distrcict HQ of Dhule So Stopaage is Important at CSN......... so list is so on... so is it fare to add all these halt & increase running time of Train?.. No one in a mood, to think about Passengers who travels more than 30 Hrs.
Now about Jalgaon is District HQ.... For your Kind information, all trains stopping at Itarsi but very few at Hoshangabad inspite of it is District HQ of Itarsi. so story of Jalgaon People and Hoshangabad people are same because this is also convenient to reach at Panchmadhi hill station of MP. but still JL people enjoying luxury of so many trains stoppage.
Thanks for taking all this conversations in right manner
