It was the summer of 2017, close to mid-July, when you have the most sultry summers, relative humidity touching close to 95 in most parts of Northern India, and Delhi and the whole eastern plains affected by this summer. I had plans not to go home that summer, as I had some personal works. But, God didn't want it. *भगवान को कुछ और ही मंजूर था*।
I was in Gurgaon for some work, and had to go to ATM for cash withdrawal. By mistake, I had left the card in the ATM, which I didn't realise it till the next day. The next day, I was almost broken down. Thankfully there was no withdrawal from my card. I got ready and...
more... proceeded towards Gurgaon, taking the slightest chance to retrieve my card back. When I reached there, the guard informed me that, the cash van shall come in the evening, after which they shall open up the machine and only on producing identity proof, the card shall be handed over to me. The day seemed endless.
Later in the evening when the van arrived, I had got a call, I went there only to find no card was there. Then I called the customer care, to block it and asked them to take the request for a new ATM card. To my disappointment, they said *Sorry Sir, you need to contact the branch manually and apply there*. The bank was SBI. The largest bank with maximum paperwork and makes things more hectic.
Anyhow I returned back home. I had to go to Lakhisarai ( my hometown ) to get the new card issued. I checked all the trains, only VS and SK were showing some chances of getting into RAC. I booked the tkt in SL class in SK. Though it was my dream to travel in SK, but not in such an emergency situation.
My elder sister lives in Patna, so I planned to go to Patna first and then take JS the next day. My fingers were crossed until last moment, as to if my tkt shall land into RAC or not.
.
Keep tuned in for further excitement.
