I think instead of running the train as an express train till renigunta and then running an intercity passenger between Renigunta and Hubli, i think the train should be run as an express from Kakinada to Hubli (via Renigunta, Kadapa, Gooty and Guntakal ) with 3 additional Sleeper and 1 Third AC coach with an average speed of 46-47 KPMH. The number of stops of the train should be decreased.
It serves as a connection between Godavari districts and rayalaseema which is in demand for a long period. It also decreases the chance of the 2 trains (Express and Passenger) being late from both sides. The 17249 train has been running late more than 3 hours every day to Kakinada Port.
