In continuation of past locos of IR, today it's turn of WCG 1. These locos were built by SLM Switzerland with traction equipment from Metropolitan Vickers. These employed a unique bogie design of C-C. This means, it had 2 traction motors with each motor driving 3 wheels through a connecting rod mechanism similar to that used in steam locos.
These had power rating of around 2250 HP and were homed at Kalyan Loco shed.
