Why does this train and 15929/30 takes reversal at durgapur when it can take reversal and go from andal itself only, why to travel extra 16kms ?

/train/16832/5/439 is small train & still reverse @ Durgapur!!
UDL got 6 PF as compared to 5 PF @ DGP & if long train can stop, they simply can reverse from there (UDL got Loco Shed and is a Jn & can easily manage reversal & major Freight Reversal must be happening there)!!
DGP is a major town, just 16 Kms away from UDL, tough to avoid and hence reversal happens @ DGP!!

These train's stop display their capacity to handle 24 Coach Rake!!
The stopping train can reverse @ UDL but IR dont wish to leave out Durgapur, which is just 16 Kms away!!

15929 and a few other trains used to reverse at Andal and not touch Durgapur until 2002. (Most of the population at Durgapur lives near the steel plant and Andal is a convenient stop for them).
Only 2 PFs (I think PF5-6) can be used by trains going towards Siuri at Andal. These 2 platforms are quite short and can barely accommodate 13-14 coaches. There isn't much scope of extending them without extensive yard remodeling. So, in 2002, these trains were extended to Durgapur and started reversing there.
