No. The travelling passenger has to recall the sms from 139 on his/her cell. If forwarded from your phone it will mean one and the same. Pls ask one of your family members to do the job. All the best.

From what others have mentioned is quite true. But on at least a dozen instances when I've flashed my mobile message as ticket the TTE didn't bother about it at all and was only interested in my ID proof. However, better be safe than sorry.
JUGAAD Tip: Any no can be saved in the phonebook as TD-IRCTC which will reflect on the message

Yes, as per rule message received from IRCTC will be valid. But practically forwarded message with valid id proof will also do.

I agree with you. But I have stated that I am posting on personal experience. It was a quickfix job done by a fellow passenger that I came to know of this. Moreover, you have rightly said ".....better be safe than sorry." The process of recalling a repeat sms from 139 is easy so better to be safe.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
