Followup: One of our servers had a huge spam attack by a bot from the Netherlands on Sunday, leading to a cascading system crash affecting a few servers. This issue was also reported here /blog/post/4676042 and /blog/post/4676448
The other count issues have been fixed, but the view count will continue to show higher if you hit the affected server. And yes, the lower count is the correct value.
