With new platforms getting ready, there should be new trains in non Kerala routes. Following trains are put up for deliberations:
1. Extend SUR HAS SF to MAQ. Have RSA with a new MAQ SUR Via MAO PNVL PUNE. Suggested TT as follows: Clockwise -- SUR 1920 YPR 0645/0700 MAQ 1600. RSA train MAQ dep 1800 PNVL 0700/ 0715 SUR 1400. Anti clockwise -- SUR dep 1130 PNVL 1845/1900 MAQ 0900. RSA MAQ dep 1130 YPR 2020/2050 SUR 0815.

more... connected to Mangalore. Being CR trains, no maintenance at MAQ. Just halt for 2-3 hours.
2. Run daytime MYS MAQ train and link RSA with MAQ BJP train. Something like MYS Dep 0900 MAQ 1600 RSA MAQ dep 1745 UBL 0600 BJP 1130. Return BJP dep 1500 UBL 2030 MAQ 0900. RSA MAQ dep 1130 MYS 1930. Being SWR trains, no maintenance at MAQ. Just halt for 2-3 hours.
If both suggestions are accepted, we get 4 trains from MAQ. One to Pune Solapur via Konkan, one to Raichur Kalaburagi, one to Davanagere Hubballi Gadag Bijapur and of course one day time train to Mysore. This will make present Gomateshwara and KAWR daytime train redundant. No loss to SR, as they have to hold trains for few hours at MAQ.
MYS MAQ can be named as Kumaradhara Express, MAQ SUR via PNVL can be named as Karavali express, MAQ SUR via HAS YPR can be named as Gomateshwara SF, and MAQ BJP as Bhima express.
If no proper actions are not done, new platforms will be used for TVC and MAS trains via Kerala.
