more... WAP 5 units 35012 & 35013 have been built with this structure where one driving end is aerodynamic & the other end is flat. Initially, IR had plans for multi unit operation with Tejas Express by connecting the flat ends of both locomotives with each other which implied either driving end of the formation would be aerodynamic. Moreover, multiple unit operation would have also facilitated better acceleration. However, such plans were never implemented & now both locomotives operate individually on normal mainline duties.
