As of now , there is no problem with Primary Maintenance. Now the rake gets Bi weekly maintenance, making it daily can be very easily done if PF availability was not a problem by creating RSA with 12685 or 16021. The main problem was the platform availability, That's the reason Chennai central never got a daily overnight after Palani express.

Best solution would be, either move 20601 completely to Tambaram (as demanded by locals of Bodi, to avoid the circuitous route) and allotting the 22.20 Slot used by special trains with limited halts till Madurai ( CGL, VM, TPJ, DG, MDU). Hence, the train can arrive MDU to BODI section in a very convenient time , plus it can acts an early morning 6 AM departure train to Bodi and Teni from Madurai.
Similarly return shall be in the exisitng departure from MDU, same slot till DG and sandwiched between Nellai and Pearl city.

By this, Chennai central also can have one free slot and Bodi line folks will be happier that they can reach their capital an hour earlier.
