Although Mangala got extended to ERS post Konkan, several new trains started via MAJN towards NZM including the Trivandrum Rajdhani, weekly trains to Chandigarh, Rishikesh and Haridwar. So, I suppose the quota which was lost for Mangalore to Delhi has been compensated by the latter trains.
The biggest loss was for Palghat and Coimbatore since Konkan Railway opened as lots of trains bound for Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat got diverted via Konkan. Absence of pitline at Palghat also added to the woes.

Once Pitline works are over at PGTN, Navyug could start from Palakkad to Katra via MAJN.
