Good Enough.
Bus Services are horrible between Raipur and Bilaspur. Boarded Bus at 11:15 AM from Raipur and reached Bilaspur at 2:55 PM. Stopped at every nook and corner and filled beyond capacity. Took 250 Rupees for AC Sleeper and even then seats were shared by passengers in Lower Berths.
There's a huge gap in 10AM to 2PM slot in between Raipur Bilaspur, barely 2 trains (Darbhanga Train and intercity) and even they were running late.
Thankfully...
more... by Your Advice I had booked Vande Bharat Express in return. Observed that people there trust South Bihar Express a lot.
Hotel Red Diamond in Bilaspur was excellent, good service. Was impressed with so many alternative routes to Bilaspur Junction through Railway Colony, almost resolves the traffic issue. Huge issue of Auto Riksha availability in morning at Bilaspur especially during Vande Bharat departure timings.
Road to Champa was good, then to Korba was under construction filled with Dumpers and direct road to Bilaspur from Korba via Baloda was filled with Dumpers, Cows and Arrogant People.
Good Chat at available at Bilaspur.
Overall a good enough experience, not as horrible as Bihar Trip.
please wait...Translate to EnglishAlright. Bus services between Raipur and Bilaspur suck big time. I got on a bus at 11:15 AM from Raipur and reached Bilaspur at 2:55 PM. That damn bus stopped at every damn corner, packed like sardines. Paid 250 Rupees for an AC sleeper, but still had to share seats with other passengers in the lower berths. What a joke.
There's a huge gap between 10AM to 2PM for trains between Raipur and Bilaspur. Barely two trains, the Darbhanga train and the intercity, and even they were running behind schedule. Thank God I took your advice and booked the Vande Bharat Express for my return journey. People seem to have a lot of faith in the South Bihar Express there.
Hotel Red Diamond in Bilaspur was dope, great service. Was impressed with the various alternative routes to Bilaspur Junction through the Railway Colony. It kinda solves the traffic problem. But there's a major issue with getting an auto-rickshaw in the morning, especially when the Vande Bharat Express is about to depart.
The road to Champa was fine, but the one to Korba was under construction, filled with dump trucks. And the direct road from Korba to Bilaspur via Baloda was a nightmare, filled with dump trucks, cows, and obnoxious people.
Had some good chat available in Bilaspur. Overall, it was an alright experience, not as terrible as my trip to Bihar.
