I am all in for introducing express trains in the Sealdah South section especially since a double line byepass line already exists from Ballygunge to Kankurganchi cabin. I think it is a high time when a long distance train is introduced from areas like Diamond Harbour, Baruipur etc particularly for the Gangasagar Mela crowd, if it can be run right from Kakdwip or Namkhana it would be best !
Keeping the Sealdah South section exclusively a EMU line and occasional freight operations is a disgrace imo ! However for facilitating long distance operations, the busy interchange issue at Ballygunge needs to be resolved, also the tripling of BLN-SPR is a bare minimum requirement
