9 and 10 are closed for this work, and the project is expected to be completed in February 2024. The new station on the Civil Lines side will be opened for passengers in 2024. The entire Prayagraj Junction redevelopment project is estimated to cost 960 crore rupees. The work on the City side of the station is scheduled to be completed between February 2025 and December 2026. Currently, platforms 9 and 10 are closed, and around 40 trains have been shifted to other platforms. Work on other platforms will begin once platforms 9 and 10 are reopened. Platform 4 was previously closed for construction. The closure of these two important platforms has caused some inconvenience to passengers.
