The division transported 122 million tonnes of cargo, earning ₹16,366 crore, the highest among all Indian Railways divisions. This figure represents an 18% increase over its nearest competitor, Bilaspur. Notably, Dhanbad achieved a record-breaking 15.38 million tonnes of cargo loading and earned ₹2,024 crore in November alone, surpassing Bilaspur by 16%. Dhanbad's consistent performance is attributed to its crucial role in supplying coal for power generation across India.
