This ROB will reduce traffic congestion on the road between Patna and Gaya via Arwal, Naubatpur, and Jahanabad. The inauguration also included the announcement of development projects worth ₹20 crores at Taregana station under the 'Amrit Bharat Station Yojana.' The Railway administration has announced several passenger-centric decisions, including the extension of operating periods for 10 special trains and a halt for train No. 12259/12260 (Sialdah-Bikaner AC Duronto Express) at Gaya station for 16 days, from December 8th to 23rd. The extension of train operating periods includes 17 extra trips for Puri-Patna (08439) and Patna-Puri (08440) specials, 7 extra trips for Patna-Puri (03230) and Puri-Patna (03229) specials, 121 extra trips for Bhubaneshwar-Dhanbad (02832) and Dhanbad-Bhubaneshwar (02831) specials, and 3 extra trips for Patna-Howrah (02024) and Howrah-Patna (02023) specials. Additionally, the daily operation of Pataliputra-Gaya (05553) and Gaya-Pataliputra (05554) specials is being extended by 16 trips.
